This silver hand bead based on a traditional moche clenched fist has been hand cast in solid 925 silver by artisans in Peru. The tactile bead with an oval slot is designed to thread onto our hand made leather straps with a solid 925 silver buckle. See ‘Additional Information’ below for dimensions.
STORY: The detailed hand bead is a symbol of great strength and creativity. It is also thought to represent the beauty and magnitude of the mountains. Hands are found in both ceramic forms, and metallurgy in Moche art. It is in their clenched form as a ceramic vessel that they are thought to represent a mountain range. The hand also represented the creativity of the Moche, known to be skilled artisans, farmers and builders.

Email sales@thenarradorescollection.com When returning an item for exchange or refund, the item must be returned unworn, in perfect condition and in the original packaging with all associated material. Nb. Earrings cannot be returned for safety reasons. When returning an item please request a proof of postage receipt. We cannot refund the cost of returning an item however when we receive the item back we will send you a confirmation and you will be sent a refund (including your original postage cost) or an exchange.

Contact between the celestial world of stars and the earth was considered essential to achieve successful harvests, hence the importance of the star motif. The subjects in Moche art such as the warriors, priests and owls, were often depicted as whole scenes showing night skies full of stars across which crescent boats carried figures such as Si, the moon God.
