This large organically shaped bead has been hand cast in solid 925 sterling silver by artisans in Peru. It is designed to thread either individually onto our silver chains, leather necklets, hoop earrings or braided and plain leather bracelets. See ‘Additional Information’ below for dimensions.
STORY: This ‘Cactus Stem’ silver bead is based on a stone Moche mace head, an instrument of battle and yet fashioned in such beauty. The maces were often formed in shapes related to nature such as stems, flowers, stars, and cactii. The Moche artistry shows that they were great farmers cultivating many crops in the the river valleys. They were able to transform the land into a verdant oasis with the development of an extensive irrigation network. This organically shaped ridged bead symbolises water, the provider of life and good harvests.

Nb. Earrings cannot be returned for safety reasons. When returning an item please request a proof of postage receipt.
