STORY: The detailed hand bead is a symbol of great strength and creativity. It is also thought to represent the beauty and magnitude of the mountains. Hands are found in both ceramic forms, and metallurgy in Moche art. It is in their clenched form as a ceramic vessel that they are thought to represent a mountain range.
